Snug Nook is a Discord server ¹⁾ established on October 29, 2024, by its founder, Daudix. The server was created to foster a community centered around no particular subject so that anybody can enjoy it, and has since grown to encompass a diverse user base and a variety of community-driven activities.

The server is organized into multiple channels, each dedicated to a specific topic or function. A distinctive feature of the server’s structure is its adherence to a “room criteria” naming convention, wherein channel names are styled to resemble physical objects or locations. This thematic approach is intended to evoke a sense of space and ambiance within the digital environment. For example, the channel used for sharing articles is named “typewriter”, aligning with the conceptual motif.

In addition to the flasghip Discord server Snug Nook is bridged to some other chatting platforms. At the moment, the sole “official” bridge is Matrix ²⁾, hosted by us. There is also a Stoat (formerly known as Revolt) bridge ³⁾ generously provided by the Icycoide community as part of the Icycoide x Snug Nook Revolt bridging initiative.

The face of Snug Nook used in its logo and as custom emojis is Neofax, an unholy union of Volpeon's Neofox and Neocat. Created as a way to halve the amount of custom emojis used on Discord it immediately became universally loved by the community.

Fun fact: Initially, Its name was Neofat, but it didn't stick around for long due to how silly it sounded.
